ET was with Robin Williams, Billy Crystal and Whoopi Goldberg many times over the years and we dove into our vault to show their close friendship.
The trio was brought together by their Comic Relief charity work, and we were present at the 1986 press conference for the first benefit.
"When I called Robin up and asked him if he would do this, he said, 'Absolutely!'" said Comic Relief founder Bob Zmuda. "I think we raised about $3 million on that event."
Comic Relief was formed to help America's homeless. To date, the non-profit organization has raised roughly $70 million for those in need.
Watch the video to see the three friends give our producer Lu Murray a special shout out during a 1989 interview that had everyone in stitches.
