According to the news source, Robert Kobe, 55, was pronounced dead at 12:04 p.m. on August 19 after a teenager allegedly shoved him, causing Kobe to hit his head on the concrete.

"Preliminary information said that kind of a shoving altercation was occurring between the teenager and the victim," Sheriff Mike Bouchard said earlier this week. "Early information is that it was actually precipitated by the victim."

The victim's son also spoke out about the incident, but appears to have no hard feelings toward the teenager.

"[My dad] was a big goof ball," he said. "He wasn't mean, everybody loved him, but he would tease with you and kid around. Given the circumstances of what I've come to learn, there's no reason to believe that there was any kind of foul play involved. Nobody had any intention. It was an accident. I don't hold any ill will toward the 15-year-old involved. I understand it. At any point in my life, goofing around, I could have been that kid. My father could have been that kid."

Results from an autopsy are still pending. According to the news source, the teenager spent Sunday night in jail, but was released the next day.
