'7th Heaven' Star Sarah Goldberg Found Dead At 40

Actress Sarah Goldberg, best known for playing Sarah Glass Camden on 7th Heaven, died Saturday, September 27 in her family's Wisconsin home. She was 40.


According to the Chicago Sun-Times
, she died of natural causes, but an autopsy was not able to determine a specific cause of death. Her mother, Judy, told the newspaper that a heart ailment may have been responsible.

"She went to sleep and didn't wake up," Goldberg's mother told the Sun Times.

Goldberg's first major role came in the 2001 action sequel Jurassic Park III. She also had a recurring role on the CBS Drama Judging Amy before landing a major role on 7th Heaven in 2002.

On the WB drama, Goldberg played Sarah Glass, the love interest of eldest son Matt Camden, played by actor Barry Watson. Watson took to Twitter today to send his condolences.

Goldberg also guest starred on a number of other dramas, including Without A Trace, CSI, In Plain Sight, and House, and had a six-episode recurring role on the rebooted 90210.

The news of Goldberg's passing was first reported on the same day that the news broke that her former 7th Heaven co-star Stephen Collins was under investigation by the NYPD for alleged sexual contact with children. Check out the video below for more from this developing story.
