Jill Duggar Dillard and her husband Derick Dillard are excitedly counting down the days until the birth of their first child this spring, and recently revealed a pretty big moment in their road to becoming parents.
The 19 Kids & Counting stars are expecting a baby boy, they tell People.
"Oh yes, there was some screaming in the room," Jill, 23, says of the moment they found out that they were having a son. "I thought all along we were having a girl. Everyone made their guesses."
She also shared that her siblings Joy, 16, James, 13 and Jenny, 7, were in the room when the baby's gender was revealed.
"I was really excited," says Derick, 25. "As a new dad, to have a firstborn son to be our first child and be the leader of his siblings, it is very special. ... I was praying for a big, healthy baby."
"Just healthy, healthy," Jill added.
And how did Jill's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, react to the big news?
"They were just elated," says Jill. "My mom and dad both thought it was going to be a boy and my grandma did, too. They are all really excited."
ETonline caught up with Jill in August, when she talked possible baby names.
Jill shared that no, she and Derick are not planning on following their famous family's initial trend -- Jill is one of 19 kids with a name starting with "J," and her brother Josh has three kids with "M" names -- but are considering other traditions, like possibly naming their children after family members.
