SF Giants vs KC Royals: Whose Team Are These Celebs On?

The 2014 World Series between the Kansas City Royals and the San Francisco Giants finally kicks off Tuesday night.

The players are excited.

The fans are ecstatic.

The team mascots Sluggerrr and Lou Seal are definitely ready!

When it comes to October baseball, it doesn’t get any better than this. Everyone is ready, including the celebrities who just happen to be long time fans of either the Giants and the Royals.

Rooting for the Royals will be longtime fans Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, and Rob Riggle, along with Anchorman star David Koechner and Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet (who is also a big Los Angeles Dodgers fan). But it’s not just the team that means so much to these five guys, it’s Kansas City as well.

In 2010 Rob, Paul and Jason held their first Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, benefiting Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas City -- and this year, KC native Stonestreet as well as Koechner joined the founding three in hosting the annual charity event.

San Francisco has quite the strong famous fan base as well. Rob Schneider warmed up the crowd before game three of the NLCS series against the St. Louis Cardinals on October 14, and Colin Hanks, Zooey Deschanel, and Bachelor star Ben Flajnik are all giant Giants fans as well. As long as none of these celebs are secretly friends with Lorde, they should be welcomed back to the Bay Area with open arms.
