Duck Dynasty
's John Luke Robertson could not be more excited about his recent engagement to Mary Kate McEacharn!

The 19-year-old reality star stopped by ET with his new fiancé, 18, to spill some major details about their upcoming nuptials – which he says will take place “sometime in June” -- and had a message for people who say the couple is too young to wed.

"Our relationship is focused on God,” he explained to ET. "The divorce rate is 50% for everyone. But, for Christians who are active in their faith, it is 35% less than that.”

He continued, "87% of people who have not had sex before they are married have successful marriages... So, for a Christian couple, whose God is at the center of our lives -- and you also haven't had sex -- our percentage is, what, like, 90 something? We're gonna make it!"

Robertson surprised his bride-to-be by popping the question on his 19th birthday, Oct. 11, after getting permission from McEacharn's family. He presented his bride-to-be with a photo album that included a photo of the engagement ring on the last page. When she glanced up, he was kneeling on the ground and ready to ask her to be his wife.

Friends and family of the pair joined them for an engagement party that evening, and planning has already commenced. As for who is taking the reins on making sure the big day is perfect? "It's been a lot of joint planning, our moms have both been talking a lot," Mary Kate reveals.

They do have some two important must-haves though: a great photographer and a chocolate-less, gluten-free cake!

McEacharn, who is also best friends with Luke's younger sister, Sadie Robertson, has already asked the DWTS break-out star to be a bridesmaid. "I asked her and my sister at the same time! I wrote them both little notes and gave them to them [on Sunday] on the way to look at wedding dresses!"

John Luke also assured ET that his uncle, Jep Robertson, is on the road to recovery after sharing on Twitter that he suffered a seizure recently.

"He’s awake now, he’s really doing fine. They are still looking at the tests and trying to figure out what actually happened. He has no side effects or anything, he is totally fine.”
