ET talks to the stars of the hit CBS sitcom about moving to a new night and adding a new star!

It’s been a great year for Mom. The award-winning CBS sitcom, which starts its second season on Oct. 30, picked up ratings steam at the beginning of 2014 thanks to critically acclaimed performances from stars Allison Janney and Anna Faris. ET stopped by the set to chat with the stars about the show’s second season.

Fresh off her Emmy win for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy, Janney was thrilled about the show’s move to Thursday nights, where they will air right after TV’s number one comedy The Big Bang Theory.

"To have Big Bang be our lead-in is going to be really exciting," she told ET. "It's going to be a great one-two punch right there."

The show is also making big casting moves, bringing in My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly for a major arc as a newly sober woman who challenges Faris and Janney’s characters, both recovering addicts.

Adding Pressly ups the show’s star power significantly, though Faris is already one half of Hollywood’s most adorable power couple. Her husband Chris Pratt is wrapping up his final season on Parks and Recreation after starring in 2014’s summer blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy.

"Oh my god, no way!" Faris exclaimed when ET broke out some vintage footage of Pratt from his early acting days on the WB series Everwood. "I hope you guys don't ever show him an early interview of me, though."
