During a Facebook Q&A on Saturday in promotion of her new NBC show State of Affairs, the 35-year-old actress was asked to respond to the rumors that she's "very rude."

"Yeah I've heard those too ...honestly I don't think I am ...nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someone's feelings and I would never, ever actively do so on purpose," Heigl answered.
That being said, the former Grey's Anatomy star admits that she's made some mistakes in the past. "Of course just like any human being I've made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right," she said. "That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don't do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honesty I think every one of us is entitled to."

This isn't the first -- and probably won't be the last -- time the actress has had to answer to her treatment towards others. During a NBC press tour this past July, a similar question was posed, in which Heigl answered, "I can only say that I certainly don't see myself as being difficult. I would never intend to be difficult. I don't think my mother sees herself as being difficult. I think it's important to everybody to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully and kindly. If I have ever disappointed somebody, it was not intentional."
While Heigl doesn't see a problem with her behavior, Grey's Anatomy showrunner Shonda Rhimes tells a different story. "There are no Heigls in this situation," she told The Hollywood Reporter when speaking about her drama-free Scandal cast. "I don't put up with bullsh** or nasty people. I don't have time for it."

Rhimes added that after working with Heigl on Grey's, she has a strict "no a**holes policy."
Also during NBC press tour in July, the actress spoke with ETonline exclusively about the press attacking her character. "I'm not going to tell you that it doesn't hurt my feelings," she said. "I'm not going to say that there aren't times that I wonder if they're all right. and I'm all wrong, but I've also realized that it is a business and those sort of stories sell."
State of Affairs premieres Monday, November 17 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
