Just when you thought you knew everything about Guardians of the Galaxy hunk Chris Pratt, think again.

In outtakes of his interview for GQ's Man of the Year, Pratt and his wife Anna Faris opened up about their son Jack, who was born nine weeks premature in August of 2012.

"He was born at three pounds," Faris tells the magazine, "And we were told, 'Okay, you need to be prepared for raising a special-needs child.'" The couple admits the news was "devastating" when they first learned of the challenges ahead, but they knew they could face them head on. "[I]t also felt like, you know, 'We can do this.'" Faris says.

"He's alive," Pratt adds with confidence.

In July, the couple — who met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight in 2007 and married two years later — told People they "prayed a lot" at the time.

"It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it," Pratt said. "The baby was so beautiful to us, and I look back at the photos of him and it must have been jarring for other people to come in and see him, but to us he was so beautiful and perfect."

Now, according to the couple, Jack is not facing any limitations outside of having to wear glasses — a happy ending for this adorable family!
