If nothing else, Russell Brand is known for his brand of outlandish comedy that often provokes as much as it does create laughs.

In his latest comedy special, Messiah Complex, airing on EPIX this Friday, Nov. 28, Brand takes on everything from immigration to Jesus Christ, and all things Justin Bieber.

When it comes to the singer, Brand pokes fun at the media frenzy he created when he said Bieber should try heroin.

“The top of the hit parade would look very different if teenyboppers were exposed to heroin,” Brand told Rolling Stone in 2010. “It would weed a lot of them out. I don’t think Justin Bieber could handle Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd’s habit. A lot of people in their journey to rehab overdose, and then, perhaps, we could be spared their awful music. It’s Darwinian. It’s the law of natural selection.”

In an exclusive clip debuting on ETonline, Brand dishes it out to publications like The Daily Mail for once making him out to be a corrupter of the Biebs following the article. "It was clearly a joke question that required a joke answer," he says, admitting that his own brain hasn't always been his best ally.

The end result? "Justin Bieber should take heroin says Brand!"

And just look at the singer now. Clearly Brand wasn't quite the negative influence the media once believed.
