It's official! Kathy Griffin will take on the role of hosting Fashion Police following Joan Rivers' death.
The show that Joan Rivers made so popular is now in "good and very funny hands" according to E!. And Kathy is not the only new addition — celebrity stylist Brad Goreski from It's a Brad, Brad World will also join as a new member of the panel.
The 54-year-old comedian has guest-starred on the show before but acknowledges that she has big shoes to fill saying, "Joan was truly one of a kind. Now I hope you will accept me for me. I'm just Kathy. Did I say I'm just Kathy? I meant I'm Kathy F***ing Griffin and you celebrities better strap yourself in, as I am taking no prisoners. I am not holding back…"
Joan's daughter Melissa Rivers will continue her mother's legacy as she is the show's executive producer.
She says about the newcomers, "Kathy just feels right, and Brad brings a fun, new voice to join Giuliana and Kelly in this ensemble."
Fashion Police has been on air since 2010 with personalities Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne, and they will continue to add their opinions on the panel.
Melissa further says, "I'm excited to see where this panel takes this series my mother so adored in this next incarnation."
One of comedy's finest talents, Griffin made history this year in comedy with her 6th consecutive Grammy nomination, and she won Best Comedy Album for Kathy Griffin: Calm Down Gurrl. She has also starred in 20 televised stand-up specials and is not a stranger to saying how she really feels.
Griffin's first official Fashion Police will debut on Jan. 12 for the Golden Globes.
