‘Shake it Off’ is arguably the song of the year – and we’re not the only ones who can’t seem to "shake" the song out of our heads. Celebrities are just as obsessed and several of our favorite stars have even performed their own
renditions of the catchy tune. Because each cover has its’ own twist, ETonline has compiled a definitive list of our favorite Swift-inspired celeb covers. To see all the stars in action, check out the video above!
The Foxcatcher actor not only shared that he loved Taylor Swift during a recent interview with Peter Travers, but he also revealed that the track had been stuck in his head and sang a few bars. We’re ranking him at the top of our list because, well, he’s Steve Carell. The extra “ooh ooohs” he belted out were also amazing.
The former American Idol winner proved her pipes are angelic as ever when she put her own spin on the Taylor tune back in October. Her gospel-esque version was a big hit with Taylor. She tweeted out a video of the performance, excitedly writing that Kelly “slayed” it.
This “All About That Bass” songstress was one of the first stars to cover the hit song, and we have to say, we are all about her airy and sweet acoustic rendition.
Sarah Hyland captured a snippet of her Modern Family
co-star's performance at the Trevor Project benefit in Los Angeles over the weekend. Swift was definitely a fan of the cover, writing "YES YES YES THIS" on Twitter
along with a link to Hyland's Instagram.
5. President Barack Obama
This cover comes courtesy of the clever team at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, who creatively edited one of the president’s speeches last month.
6. The Victoria’s Secret Angels
7. Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan
While Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan don’t actually sing the song, they still spoofed the music video during the show’s Halloween extravaganza. We have to say, Kelly makes a great Taylor!
