Apparently, Meghan Trainor was not the only one all about that bass

From J.Lo and Iggy Azalea, to Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian, 2014 was a big year for the booty. Here's a look at the famous backsides that were at the forefront of pop culture this year.

Jennifer Lopez

Age ain't nothing but a number for Jenny on the block! J.Lo, 45, proved you can still be sexy at any age and shake it with the best of them. Her music video for "Booty" featuring Iggy Azalea, 24, is climbing toward 100 million hits. However, the video was met with its fair share of criticism for the mom of two. "I refuse to be put in a box in that way," Lopez, told ET. "Why, because I'm over 40? So I can't be sexy?" PREACH!

Iggy Azalea

Lopez knew what she was doing when she recruited Iggy to join her for "Booty." It was a gratuitous meeting of the butts. "It was strange. Sometimes I had to think to myself: I'm dancing in a really tight box with JLo!" Iggy recalled. It was a cap to an amazing year for the Australian rapper who also flaunted her assets in "Fancy" with Charli XCX (379 million YouTube hits) and "Problem" with Ariana Grande (316 million YouTube hits).

Nicki Minaj

She likes big butts and she cannot lie! Racy videos are nothing new for Nicki Minaj, but "Anaconda" might have been her most hotly anticipated video yet. Between her NSFW cover art and a series of super seductive snaps on her Instagram, it was perhaps the longest video rollout ever and certainly got fans and critics talking-- and that's exactly what she wanted. Twenty-four hours after it posted, the video garnered 6.5 million views and over a million tweets.

Kim Kardashian

But perhaps the booty that made the biggest splash in 2014 was Kim Kardashian's. Kim did "break the internet" when she released the NSFW cover for Paper Magazine. It made international headlines and inspired arguably some of the best memes of the year. ET asked Paper Magazine's Chief Creative Officer Drew Elliot of the images were Photoshopped, to which he replied, "No. That's what you get. I mean Kim Kardashian, that's her body, her beauty." Well played, Kim.
