One thing’s for sure, being best friends with Oprah means you get a great 60th birthday party. The media mogul, who turned the big 6-0 earlier this year, surprised her BFF, CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King, with an early party to celebrate the milestone.

Oprah invited King’s friends and family to celebrate the big day, including her adult children Kirby and William, and This Morning co-host Charlie Rose. The attendees were decked out in yellow, King’s favorite color and feasted on Shake Shack burgers and grilled cheese, more of King’s favorite things.

"Surprise birthday party for @GayleKing," Oprah wrote on Instagram. "Her favorite cohost. Her favorite son and daughter. Her favorite grilled cheese. #happybirthdayGayle"

The guest of honor was completely surprised by the party and was honored by the friends, family and colleagues who turned out to celebrate with her.

"I was so touched by Charlie Rose [attending]," she told ET. "Because it was the White House Christmas party and he skipped the White House Christmas party for my party."

King also expressed gratitude to Oprah, her BFF of nearly 40 years, who celebrated her own milestone birthday on Jan. 29.

"We trust each other, we love each other and we can say anything to the other," she said. "I think when you are both happy with the lives you have and the people you are, it’s not hard to be good friends."
