In a recorded holiday message posted on USO's website on Dec. 18, the Die Hard actor encourages us all to do our part to thank the men and women who are serving our nation far away from their family and friends this holiday season.
"Now is the time where [our troops] need us most," Willis says. "I hope that others will join me in showing their gratitude to the brave men and women and in letting them know we are always by their side."
Willis ends the message with warm wishes for the troops, "Happy holidays, come home safe, God Bless and Merry Christmas" before saying "thank you so much."
In the fall of 2003, Willis saw the sacrifices of the troops firsthand when he traveled with the USO. The USO's mission is to lift the spirits America's troops and their families.
