The actor, who played "Screech" on the hit high school sitcom, was charged with disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and carrying a concealed weapon Friday afternoon after allegedly stabbing a man with a switchblade at a Port Washington bar late Christmas night. According to reports, Diamond got into a confrontation with a fellow patron, stabbed him after the argument escalated, then fled the bar.

Diamond appeared in court on Friday and reportedly claimed self defense. The victim’s wounds were not life-threatening and he was recovering at home by Friday afternoon.
