Neil Patrick Harris Makes First 2015 Oscars Promo Festive

ABC

Neil Patrick Harris gives us all a holiday Oscars reminder.

The Oscars are right around the corner, and Neil Patrick Harris reminded viewers on Christmas that he's this year's host and that is a gift in itself.

In the first promo airing on ABC, the actor says, "Instead of traditional presents, give (your family) the gift of simply telling them to watch me host the Oscars."

This will be the first time that Harris has hosted the Academy Awards. A Tony Award winner himself, he hosted the Tony Awards for the fourth time last year. He has also hosted the Emmy Awards twice, in 2013 and 2009.

When Harris was first announced as the host, the 41-year-old posted a video showing that he's crossing that off his bucket list, one that also includes performing with the Muppets, rapping with Snoop Dogg and juggling flaming torches.
