Sofia Vergara's Ex-Fiance Reacts to Her Engagement News

Sofia Vergara's ex-fiance Nick Loeb seems happy that the Modern Family star has found "true love" with Joe Manganiello.

After the 42-year-old actress was spotted wearing some bling on her wedding ring finger, reports started to surface that she was engaged to the 38-year-old True Blood hunk.

"She is beautiful and majestic and therefore to be loved," Loeb told Us after hearing the reports. "Beyond all else in life she deserves happiness, the kind that only true love can bring."

Vergara started dating Loeb on and off in 2010, but the two called it quits for good in May. Two months later, it was being reported that the actress was seeing Manganiello. On Christmas Day, the actor reportedly popped the question and put a sizable ring on Vergara's finger. The couple's reps have yet to confirm the news. 

Loeb's sweet sentiments about his ex are a bit nicer than when he attempted to explain why it didn't work out with the Columbian actress. "I'm sort of a conservative, so I like a girl to dress a little classier," he said of Vergara's cleavage-baring looks during an interview with The New York Post this past September.

As for her new man, he did admit than Manganiello is a "great-looking guy."

Loeb quipped, "I guess if I was a girl, I'd be dating him, too."
