Jolie made it a girls' trip to Rome, only bringing her daughters Zahara and Shiloh. Us Weekly reports that Brad Pitt was also scheduled to meet the pope but didn't come due to a "last minute change." The mother-daughter trio was also spotted on Thursday at the Piazza Navona toy shop.

Back in October, Jolie became an honorary dame. The Oscar-winning star met the Queen, and was presented with the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George at a reception at Buckingham Palace.
