Jessica Chastain skipped too many days in high school.

Jessica Chastain may have dropped out of high school, but she's still happy to show off her high school yearbook photo.

On Friday, the Interstellar actress posted a picture of herself as a smiling high school student, but she says on Facebook that she actually had a "very difficult time in high school and missed too many days."

She was unable to graduate with her class, but a year later, she received her GED. She then went on to earn a BFA from Julliard with the help of a scholarship from Robin Williams.

More than just the amazing throwback photo, Chastain, 37, says, "I wanted to share this info because I think it's important to know that you can always change your path in life. I am a strong advocate for education. I don't believe that I would be where I am today without the education I eventually received."

She then offers words of advice, "So those of you having a difficult time, please don't leave school. Stick with it and find a class that inspires you. Be proactive in your education. It changed my life and it can change yours."
