In court papers obtained by ET, it was ruled that all copies of a leaked audio recording, in which Collins admits during a 2012 therapy session to inappropriate conduct with underage girls, were to be destroyed – with the exception of the original, which is to be placed in the possession of Collins’ lawyer Shawn Holley for 10 years.

Two months after the recording was first posted by TMZ in October 2014, Collins sat down with Yahoo Global News’ Katie Couric.

“I’m a human being with flaws, and I’ve done everything I can do address them,” he told Couric.

Collins also penned a lengthy statement in People magazine, confessing to sexual contact with three underage girls between 1973 and 1994.

“Forty years ago, I did something terribly wrong that I deeply regret. I have been working to atone for it ever since,” the 67-year-old actor wrote.
