The title of Miss Universe went to Miss Colombia Paulina Vega, so why was Miss Jamaica's Kaci Fennell dominating social media?
Many felt that Fennell was robbed of the crown, taking to Twitter to voice their unhappiness and even created the hashtag, #MissJamaicaShouldHaveWon, which trended Sunday evening.
As soon as I saw Miss Jamaica, I knew she was the winner. And apparently so did everyone else. #MissUniverse ROBBED.— TamaraTattles (@TamaraTattles) January 26, 2015
I'm so proud. Truly. That hashtag didn't start in Jamaica and is being carried by non-Jamaicans. I'm so proud! #MissJamaicaShouldHaveWon— Deika Morrison (@deikamorrison) January 26, 2015
So true #MissJamaicaShouldHaveWon I was expecting her to win after the question and answer portion. With grace did she answer it— april (@abril_badette) January 26, 2015
Fennell stood out with her short hairstyle and captured the audience's attention during the Final Question segment when she said that Jamaica's biggest contributions were Bob Marley's music and the world's fastest man, Usain Bolt.
She also blew away fans during the swimsuit portion!
"The only time it gets serious is when we're tired. Like I wanna sleep. But other than that, no," she told ET. "We help each other out when we see fit. It's such a kind, caring group of girls. I wouldn't have it any other way."
Sounds like there are no hard feelings here!
