John Mayer is excited about the GRAMMYs on Sunday, but according to him, there's an ex going that may want to avoid him.

On Friday's The Late Late Show, the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" singer guest hosted and performed a monologue in which he made the joke, "You can see me at the GRAMMYs doing what I do best. Being avoided by Taylor Swift."

He even goes on to act out a pretend scene showing how he'll be ignored by the "Shake It Off" singer. While this was a joke, their breakup was no laughing matter.

Mayer, 37, and Swift, 25, reportedly dated in early 2010, and after they split, Swift penned a song called "Dear John."

In June of 2012, Mayer spoke to Rolling Stone about the song, "I never got an e-mail. I never got a phone call," he said. "I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you've ever been, someone kicked you even lower?"

It remains to be seen if Mayer will be ignored, but one part of his monologue did come true like he expected.
