It's her fifth Oscar nomination, but is it Julianne Moore's turn to win this year?

The 54-year-old actress is nominated in the Best Actress category for her portrayal of a mother with early-onset Alzheimer's disease in Still Alice, and she told Parade that she wants to win her first Academy Award for this role.

"That's the nomination from your peers. It's a very, very big deal," she says.

Moore was honored with a Golden Globe and a SAG award for the role, but ultimately she walked away with a message from the movie that she hopes viewers also get from it.

"It's uplifting. We didn't make it in the spirit of loss or diminishment," she explains. "Really, it's about what you love, who you value and how much you love being alive."

There's some stiff competition this year in the Best Actress category with Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Reese Witherspoon (Wild), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night).
