The 25-year-old singer has been under probation since 2009, when he pleaded guilty to attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna just hours before the GRAMMY Awards.

"I couldn't be more delighted," said Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos after the hearing, reportedly hugging his client once in the courtroom and again in a courthouse elevator.

Geragos described Friday’s ruling as a "monumental feat" for Brown, who has struggled to complete the terms of his probation since 2013, missing a community service deadline, performing a concert without permission, and getting into several minor run-ins with the law.
