Meet Chip, a 5-week-old Chihuahua who was abandoned at a shelter in Texas because his family “could not care for such a young puppy,” his foster mom, Natalie Buxton, told Buzzfeed.

The same day, Operation Kindness, the largest no-kill shelter Northern Texas, took in a 4-week-old kitten, Adele, a stray who was found without a mother or other kittens.
And what do you know? They became best friends.

Because they both arrived on March 20, the team at Operation Kindness decided to put them together and, Buxton says, “They instantly bonded.”
Which is extra impressive because these two could not me more different. And we’re not just talking species here. Chip is apparently very chill and “laid back,” while Adele loves climbing on everything.
As they say, opposites attract. Chip and Adele will stay together at their foster home until they're old enough to get their shots and have both been spayed and neutered.

Teresa Berg, a local photograph who photographs shelter dogs to help them get adopted, even did a shoot with Chip and Adele to help them find a forever home. Not that they need much help -- their adorable story has offers flowing in on Chip and Adele's Facebook.
