While Justin Bieber was getting roasted on the small screen, his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez was testing out motherhood on the big screen.
Intending to shock fans on Monday, Gomez's Spring Breakers co-star James Franco Instagrammed a pic of her holding a baby with the caption: "Selene and I had a baby. It was born during Sprang Break."

The pic was from the 22-year-old actress' time on set of her new movie In Dubious Battle, an adaptation of John Steinbeck's 1936 novel of the same name, which Franco is directing.
The film -- also starring Bryan Cranston, Franco himself, Josh Hutcherson and Ashley Greene -- follows an activist that gets caught up in the labor movement for farm workers in California during the 1930s. Gomez portrays Lisa London, a young mother and the daughter-in-law to one of the migrant workers.

Gomez -- who is reportedly dating Zedd -- has yet to comment on her maternal pic, but she did share a pic of her with the cast. "On set with amazing, incredible people," she wrote.
In Dubious Battle is scheduled to hit theaters later this year.
