"Two comedy legends coming through!" What would you do if you saw Late Show host David Letterman strolling the streets with Billy Eichner?

On Wednesday, the comedians debuted their special edition of Billy on the Street where Eichner asked strangers in New York City what they thought Letterman should do after he retires from the Late Show.

One follow-up question commonly asked is if they think the TV personality should start a podcast. One man (in shorts) supported the idea, which led Letterman to display his quick wit. "I'd do a podcast about guys wearing shorts when it's too cold," the late-night host quipped.

Eichner's humor was also on point. While interviewing a woman who said that she gets the Late Show in Pakistan, the Funny or Die comedian said straight-faced, "Remember when Drew Barrymore showed her breasts?"

Eichner was also quick to point out that Letterman "created the Top 10 list."

Letterman's last day on the Late Show will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Stephen Colbert will be the new host.
