When Kate Upton showcased her "Cat Daddy" moves in a barely-there bikini, she was really hoping she was dancing with no one watching.

Back in 2012, infamous celebrity photographer Terry Richardson released a video of the supermodel's provocative dancing, but she says she never consented to the release of the footage. "I was like, 'That was disrespectful, you could have told me!" she recalls during an interview with Alexa Chung for Vogue U.K. "Now, obviously, it's fine."

As the magazine points out, Upton's "Cat Daddy" dance -- which includes lots of grinding -- "received millions of hits on Youtube -- not to mention a number of slow-motion versions for the more discerning customer." The publication says Upton, who was 19 at the time, was "horrified" to find that the behind-the-scenes footage had gone public as she thought she was only dancing "for fun," and didn't expect the video to make the final cut of released content.

Chung also chatted with Richardson and asked him if he in part feels responsible for Upton's rise to fame. "No," he replied, "Kate was born a star."
