Gwyneth Paltrow is planning to live on $29 in food stamps for a week.

In a tweet Thursday, the 42-year-old actress wrote, "This is what $29 gets you at the grocery store—what families on SNAP (i.e. food stamps) have to live on for a week."
She followed up with her announcement, saying, "We're walking in their shoes to see how far we get."

It's all for the #FoodBankNYCChallenge led by 54-year old celebrity chef, Mario Batali, and aims to raise awareness on hunger and poverty in the United States by challenging people to commit to a food stamp budget.
Not to say we don't support Gwyneth Paltrow taking this challenge -- we absolutely do, it just seems like it will be hard for her given the fact that entire 2014 Goop gift bag will set you back six figures!
