Luke Bryan has a secret to overcoming his ACM nerves: vodka!

"I wouldn't say there's many nerves, I'd just say there's a lot of excitement," the country crooner spilled to ET's Nancy O'Dell on the red carpet. "It's going to be a fun night of music and a lot of memories."

The 38-year-old singer co-hosted the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards along with Blake Shelton on Sunday night -- and took home the biggest prize of the night, Entertainer of the Year.

We discovered the two men had a special pre-show ritual to help calm any nervousness about the night-long gig. "We huddle up and do some read-throughs and mix us a drink and get ready to do this thing," Bryan confessed. "It's the country guy's chill-pill -- a little vodka."

So if vodka is Bryan's drink-of-choice, what's Shelton's? "I think Blake's a rum guy -- Bicardi."

Shelton has helped bring so much more attention to the country world as one of the long-time coaches on The Voice, and Bryan confessed that he might be open to following in his co-host's reality-competition footsteps.

"I'm so happy where I am and with touring -- it just depends on if the right situation comes along," the "Crash My Party" singer spilled. "Maybe something fun to make happen one of these days."

Bryan continued, "I never say never. The only thing I say never to is sky diving because I know I'll never skydive."
