Charlize Theron proved that she doesn't have an ego with her performance in Monster, but even we were surprised by her humble hairdo in Mad Max: Fury Road.

The 39-year-old Oscar winner shaved her head for the post-apocalyptic action film.

"This was an exciting one for me," Charlize said. "I just had this moment where I was like, 'I need to shave my head! I can't think about what I'm going to do with my hair in this movie. I'm going to be in the desert. I'm a new mother. Let's just shave it.' The next day we did it. I can't even imagine doing it any other way."

In Mad Max: Fury Road, the long-awaited fourth installment in the cult classic franchise, English actor Tom Hardy has taken over the iconic role of the eponymous hero. The movie takes audiences to the furthest reaches of our planet where humanity is broken, and nearly everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. It's here that two rebels are on the run who might be able to restore order. These renegades are Max (Hardy), a man of action and few words who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos, and Furiosa (Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.
