We'll never know how David Beckham's first Instagram post didn't break the Internet.
The heavily tattooed hunk joined the social network on Saturday, May 2, to celebrate his 40th birthday. He didn't bother to get out of bed or put a shirt on -- but we're not complaining.
We guess Beckham got over his Super Bowl ad embarrassment! As he should -- forty looks pretty, pretty good on him.
Beckham is an avid Facebook user, so it's no surprise that he's already taken quickly to Instagram. He put up six posts in 12 hours, and his bedroom debut has already racked up over 500,000 views.

The father of four will have a little help figuring out Instagram from his wife Victoria Beckham and oldest boy Brooklyn Beckham, a.k.a the "boss of the family." Mom and son have 4.3 million and 2.2 million followers, respectively. Not too shabby!
Now we just have to wait for his adorable little girl Harper's social media debut. Fingers crossed for a few cute father-daughter snaps on Dad's Insta until then!
