Here’s a day young Maisie Gregory will never forget.
Not because the 6-year-old met the Queen, but because a grown man accidentally smacked her in the face. Queen Elizabeth II was in Wales on Thursday to present the Royal Welsh regiment with its new colors -- as one does -- and Maisie was tasked with presenting HRH flowers.
Journalist Ruth Mosalski caught a picture of her getting ready:

NEWS: A BBC reporter tweeted that the Queen died and it caused CHAOS!
Maisie adorably hands over the flowers and does a cute little curtsey, and the Queen tells her she that she looks “very pretty” and “God bless,” according to Wales Online.

According to Maisie's mother, Joanne, the Queen didn’t notice, and as soon as Her Royal Highness left, the soldier “immediately turned round to apologize.” Turns out Maisie was fine afterwards. Her mom says she was just “overcome with tiredness.”
