Taylor Swift certainly knows a thing or two about a good deed.

Texas volunteer firefighter Aaron Van Riper responded to a 911 call on Saturday, and upon arriving at the scene, he found his wife Amber and 7-year-old son Jonathan were among the victims.

"It's my family. My wife was laying there on the ground," Van Riper told Huntsville's ABC 13 KTRK news station. "[By] the look of the car, I don't know how either one of them lived. There was nothing left of that car."

The local ABC affiliate reports that Amber endured nine hours of surgery on Sunday, but the family doesn't have health insurance.

A friend set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money so the family could pay their hospital expenses, and that’s when Taylor Swift came into the picture.

The 25-year-old singer's name appeared on the crowdfunding site...along with a $15,000 donation!

One of the family's friends captured the moment out of disbelief.
