Workaholics star Blake Anderson woke up on the wrong side of the bed on Thursday, landing him in a bit of trouble while promoting his new movie, Dope.

During an early-morning interview with Fox 19's News Morning Xtra in Cincinatti, Ohio, Anderson munches on what he said was a bagel while groggily attempting to answer questions.

"Sorry," the 31-year-old comedian said via satellite. "I just woke up like five minutes ago."

"Oh, you were sleeping?" meteorologist Frank Marzullo asked.

"Hell yeah!" Anderson answered. "It's like six o'clock over here. Jesus Christ! It's very early and I'm very tired. You know the Warriors just won the f***ing championship..."

Before Anderson could continue, Marzullo abruptly dismissed the actor and comedian, directing the camera to cut back to him as he apologized to the audience at home.

"If you want to see this again, you can check it out on YouTube I'm sure in just a couple of hours," Marzullo joked. "We apologize for the language right there."

After the interview, Blake poked fun at his gaff, tweeting, "Hey everybody, I'm very excited because @DopeMovie comes out tomorrow, but you already knew that 'cause I'm hella good at press interviews!"

Marzullo spoke to ET about the interview, saying, "At first I thought it was an act to go with movie, but then once the swearing started during our friendly morning show I knew I had to stop it! By the way, I still think it was a donut! That did not look like a bagel."

Dope, out now, is a coming-of-age flick which follows high-school senior Malcolm (Shameik Moore) and his fellow group of teen nerds as they navigate adolescence in Inglewood, Calif.

The film also stars Anderson, A$AP Rocky, Chanel Iman and Rick Fox.
