Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals Her Key to Staying in Shape

Staying fit like Jada doesn't only involve exercise.

It's bikini season, and if you need some inspiration, look no further than Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Magic Mike XXL actress spoke to ET about why you need to do way more than just exercise your buns off.

In fact, she says it's all about what you're taking in. "What are you eating? Because we could get on the treadmill and we could go to the gym and we could work out, but if we're not eating the foods to help us get to that body shape that we want, then you can stay on the treadmill as long as you want. It's not going to get you the results," she said. "So really, my diet is, is what is most important to me. I'm always checking on my relationship to food."

The 43-year-old star also noted that if people look at the emotional relationship that many of us have with food, it will "really help us get to the place that we want to be physically, and health-wise, it's really getting in touch with why we're eating and why we eat what we eat."

"Most of the time, why we're eating and what we're eating, totally goes against what we want to look like," Pinkett Smith added with a laugh.

And she's just like the rest of us when it comes to those little indulgences -- but she admitted that she did wait until after both Magic Mike XXL and Gotham wrapped before she "binged on pizza."
