Kids say the darndest things, and they also write the funniest scenes. Channing Tatum and Jimmy Fallon proved as much during The Tonight Show on Tuesday when they acted out "scenes" from Magic Mike, as written by children.
Jimmy explained the set-up at the opening of the game, and honestly it's one of the funniest ideas ever. Basically, they gave a group of elementary school kids nothing more than the title Magic Mike, and had them write scenes based on what the kids thought a movie called Magic Mike would be about.
Needless to say, the scenes were less about stripping and more about a fantastical wizard named Mike (example: "Yes, I am Magic Mike. I'm like regular Mike, except magic.")
From a heartwarming story of Magic Mike helping a boy with a flat tire, to a scary tale of alien invasion (with a Shyamalan-ian twist), to Channing and Jimmy singing a song about talking birds, this segment might be one of The Tonight Show's funniest to date.
And, if you're still not sold, just take a look at this totally out-of-context pic, which could be the best screenshot of all time.
This is just the latest in a long line of appearances in recent days that have made us fall in love with Channing all over again.
During the L.A. LGBT Pride Parade earlier this month Channing entertained the crowd by dancing on a Magic Mike XXL parade float. Then, last Wednesday, we learned what nickname Channing gave his penis during a very candid Reddit AMA. And earlier on Tuesday a photo surfaced of Channing in a high school bodybuilding competition.
He might be giving Chris Pratt a run for his money when it comes to adorableness.
