It was a classic case of meeting the parents for Miley Cyrus, who was introduced to Arnold Schwarzenegger when she was began dating his son Patrick last November. Although the two split in April, the former governor of California is now sharing how he felt about the "Party in the USA" singer when she and Patrick were an item.

During an appearance on Howard Stern's SiriusXM show on Wednesday, the 67-year-old actor called Miley "a wonderful person," adding, "She has this career side where she has to be a little bit out there because she grew up in a music family. So what? It didn’t bother me. Patrick had a wonderful experience, a great relationship, and then the whole thing eventually fell apart."

Schwarzenegger explained that Miley spent time with his family during the holidays in Sun Valley, Idaho.

"I found out she was a fantastic person," he said. "We had little kids in the house, my nephew's little kids. She went out every day to buy gifts for them. She played with them, played with their phone and showed them things. But really, sincerely, like sometimes two hours at a time, would go out in the snow with them."

Seeing this side of her reassured Schwarzenegger, but he also trusted his son's judgment.
