Break out the hot dogs and fireworks -- it's Independence Day!
While this no doubt should be a time to honor our country, loved ones and those who keep us safe, let's also raise a red cup to 11 moments (some more important than others) that have us celebrating the red, white and blue this year!
1. Same-Sex Marriage

ALL. 50. STATES. Love wins!
Also, this little girl is everything.
2. Caitlyn Jenner
With some exceptions, the response to Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair cover was overwhelmingly loving and positive and a big step for the transgender community.
3. U.S.-Cuba Relations
4. MAD MENENDED IN THE BEST WAY! (SPOILERS... Kind Of.)
Don't pretend you weren't elated by how it all ended.
5. Girl Scouts of America
They stuck up for the transgender community and wound up receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars.
6. Dancing Man Gets His Dance Party
You are amazing, Sean in London!
7. Taylor Swift Made 1989 Happen Again
Sort of.... but she did basically win the whole year. Also, who'd have predicted her and Kanye could bury the hatchet!
8. Amy Schumer
Funny and fearless, she's probably had the biggest year in comedy. Thank you for making us laugh and think, Amy!
9. U.S. Women's National Team in the FIFA World Cup Finals
After defeating Germany 2-0 in the World Cup semifinals, the U.S. Women's National Team goes for gold in Canada this Sunday, and it has given us major soccer goals. GO USA!!
10. The Orange Is the New Black Season Three Finale (SPOILERS... For Real)

After a tumultuous season, how unapologetically pleasant were the final few minutes in the lake? If Game of Thrones ruined our belief in all things, this Orange Is the New Black scene built at least a little of it back up.
11. Inside Out
What do you even say about a movie this beautiful?
BRB, still sobbing uncontrollably.
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July everybody!
