To kick off the 86th Major League Baseball All-Star Game, GRAMMY-winning singer Ciara took to the field at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio and delivered a striking performance of the "The Star-Spangled Banner."
Ciara, along with three backup singers, belted out a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, and managed to avoid the many pitfalls the iconic song can present for so many singers whose flubs have become legendary.
After performing, Ciara took to Instagram to share a field-level video of her performance and accompanying fireworks, which she captioned, " What An Amazing Experience #Grateful."
Ciara had a lot of support and love going into the event as well. Yesterday, the 29-year-old singer's boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, tweeted, "I can't wait to watch my girl @Ciara perform the National Anthem at the @MLB All-Star Game tomorrow night!"
Russell and Ciara have reportedly been dating since April, and recently the NFL star got candid about their sex life, saying that they are practicing abstinence. Check out the video below for more on how their religious faith has shaped their relationship.
