Carrie Underwood is helping us all celebrate Throwback Thursday.
When the country superstar was just 14, she performed at the 1998 Miss Westark Pageant.
And in this YouTube video making its way around the Internet, her dress may have sparkled at the pageant, but it's Underwood herself that really shined with her rendition of Martina McBride's "A Broken Wing."
In addition to her impressive vocal range, it's hard not to notice those bangs!
Seriously! Even as a freshman in high school, the gal not only had major talent, but was a true trendsetter as well.
Underwood, of course, was later discovered after auditioning for American Idol during her senior year at Northeastern State University. She won the show's fourth season in 2005, and the rest, as they say, is history for the seven-time GRAMMY winner.
Check out the video below to see how Underwood celebrated 10 years since her American Idol win.
