This is now one pricy pair of sunglasses!

Who doesn't like taking a break from a lovely Hawaiian vacation to take a trip to the slammer, right?

Well, that's what Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor managed to do when he was thrown into a Honolulu jail Friday night for allegedly stealing a pair of sunglasses, ET has confirmed.

The 36-year-old model and bartender, who works at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant SUR, was arrested at his hotel, The Modern Honolulu, and charged with a felony. The Honolulu Police Department told ET that Taylor selected and concealed merchandise valued at more than $300, and left the business without paying. Following his arrest, he was released after posting $11,000 bail.

We're willing to bet Taylor didn't see his current stay in jail coming when he posted this PDA-heavy Instagram with girlfriend Brittany Cartwright earlier in the day.

In the state of Hawaii, a person is charged with a felony theft if a product or service is worth more than $100. They are charged in the second degree, a class C felony, if the stolen item was worth more than $300.

No matter what the total at the register would have been, it's an even heftier price for those sunglasses -- and Taylor -- now.
