This is the Burger King-themed wedding that every little girl dreams of!
After the engagement announcement for Joel Burger, 24, and Ashley King, 23, which featured a photo of the couple standing in front of a Burger King restaurant, went viral earlier this year, Burger King offered to pick up the tab for their wedding.
"When we heard about the happy Burger-King couple, we felt an overwhelming urge to celebrate their upcoming marriage," a B.K. spokesperson said at the time. "On so many levels it felt like fate; they found each other and their story found us."

Well, the Burger-King couple’s Burger King-themed wedding took place on July 17 in Jacksonville, Illinois, and it was... actually adorable. The State-Journal Register called the ceremony “solemn and dignified.”
Even though the wedding officiant didn’t wear one of those creepy Burger King masks as the newlyweds said “I do” -- a missed opportunity, IMHO -- there were crowns for the wedding party and guests. Very tasteful.
And custom "I [picture of a burger] take you [picture of a king]" T-shirts.

The reception, on the other hand, looked like a Whopper exploded all over a Pinterest board: The groomsmen wore B.K. cuff links and burger socks, there were Burger King mason jars on every table, and everyone went home with a $10 Burger King gift card!
They even got a shout-out on the sign of the local Burger King:
As for what Burger King wanted in return -- “All we ask is that they live happily ever after. And maybe name their first child Chicken Fry.” -- that baby would be Chicken Fry Burger, as Ashley has taken her husband’s last name. Which is still a pretty awesome name.
