The actress will rest rather than continue on with the last two weeks of the play she's starring in.
Even though Valerie Harper ensured fans that she is feeling better after being rushed to the hospital Wednesday, she is bowing out of the musical she's currently starring in.
The Ogunquit Playhouse, the Maine theater company putting on the production of Nice Work If You Can Get It, announced that Academy Award-nominated actress Brenda Vaccaro will be stepping into the role of Millicent Winter through the end of the play's run on Aug. 15.

"Valerie is feeling great right now and we want her to continue to rest and to enjoy her family," Executive Artistic Director Bradford Kenney said in the playhouse's press release. "After discussing with them, we decided that we wanted to relieve her of any pressure of having to return to the show, which only runs for two more weeks."
The 75-year-old actress took to Facebook Friday night to update friends and fans on her condition. "As always, thank you for your amazing support,” Harper wrote. "I am happy to report I am not, nor have I been, in a coma."

"As anyone who has taken strong medication knows, it doesn't always agree with you, even with me as this experience proves," she added.
Harper was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2013, but she's remained extremely positive throughout her battle, which has included chemotherapy treatments. The Rhoda star sat down with ET last year to talk about her prognosis -- watch the video below.
