The singer has apparently gotten some new ink since breaking off his engagement with Perrie Edwards.
After Zayn Malik broke off his engagement with Perrie Edwards, the Little Mix singer was spotted out and about in L.A. with her friends and bandmates, grabbing froyo and getting manicures. But it seems her ex has a different way of coping with the breakup: going under the tattoo gun.

The former One Direction star, who recently signed a solo record deal with RCA, was spotted with a new tattoo on his left arm on Aug. 6. The body art, which Malik had inked above a checker flag tat that he's had for a while, appears to be of a lotus flower.

It’s definitely a new addition, as Malik’s arm was flower-free as recently as July 30, when he was spotted partying at the Warwick nightclub in West Hollywood, California.

The singer even hinted at the new design on Aug. 4, when he tweeted a picture of a lotus flower on top of a piano keyboard.

It’s a surprising choice for a breakup tat, if only because Malik has a portrait of Edwards inked on his right arm. Seems like he might be in for some more time under a tattoo gun soon!
