'It's just mind-blowing to me how these things start.'
So much for Nick Jonas and Kendall Jenner!
The 22-year-old "Jealous" singer appeared on Ryan Seacrest's On Air radio show on Friday, where he opened up about how hard it is to date while being in the business, saying "You know what it's like," to Ryan, before confirming once and for all that he's a single guy.
"I was with [Olivia Culpo] for two years. We had a beautiful relationship together and it was great. It was time for that to end, which is sad," he said. "But I'm single. Contrary to what people I think, think. It's just mind-blowing to me how these things start."

Nick confirmed as much while promoting his new single, "Levels," on Friday, telling E! News, "We're not dating," when asked about Kendall.
"Kendall is great and naturally with her being good friends with Gigi [Hadid] and with Joe [Jonas] and Gigi dating," he said. "There are times we'll be in the same place and we all hang out."
Nick told ET in June that he's taking this single time to refocus on his work.

"I'm doing OK," Jonas told ET. "It's very tough and we had a beautiful two years together and [I have] nothing but love and respect for her. But it's always hard and my thing now is focusing on my work and staying as busy as I can, as creative as I can be. These are the times you’ve just got to dive in and get lost in your work and that's what I'm trying to do."
But if he DOES start seeing someone, expect him to let us know!
"I have regrets about not being open with relationships in the past," the singer admitted. "That's the thing that makes it actually more challenging. On many levels you try to hide the relationship or do things to make it more private but that just adds more stress on the relationship. Whereas this relationship I was in was open and public and there's a lot of comfort in that and support."
In addition to his music, Nick recently bulked up to star in DirecTV's Kingdom, and he talked to ET last week about how he achieved his chiseled look.

"Basically it just consists of drinking a lot of water, cutting out sodium," Nick said. "And it's just a lot of sweat. A lot of sweat."
