We can’t think of a better way to celebrate National Dog Day. (Which is today.)
Lola the pug was apparently stolen from the home of her owner, Kate Witham, in Harlow, England. What kind of monster would steal an adorable little pug like Lola, we cannot begin to fathom, but all that matters is Essex police eventually found Lola and reunited her with Kate. And Lola’s reaction is the sweetest.
Lola was chilling at the police station, happy to not be dognapped anymore:
When she heard Kate from afar and IMMEDIATELY bolted in her direction:
“I had been so worried about Lola since she went missing so when I got the call from the police I was over the moon,” Kate says. Lola too, as Kate could barely hold her she was so excited.
“As soon as I saw her, her little tail went into overdrive and I instantly knew it was her. I am just so happy to have her back,” Kate added. We’re not ashamed to say this brought a tear to our eyes.
As for who may haven taken Lola, Essex police arrested three people, a 34-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, and a 23-year-old woman, all on “conspiracy to burgle.” Only one was subsequently charged, and the woman, who had also been arrested on suspicion of grand theft Lola, was released without charges due to insufficient evidence.
Anyway, enough about the bad guys, watch little Lola’s full reaction now:
Plus, remember that time Rihanna found a puppy at the club and kept him?!
