USA Network has decided to postpone Wednesday night's season finale of Mr. Robot, due to this morning's shootings in Virginia.
"The previously filmed season finale of Mr. Robot contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia," the network said in a press release.
"Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."
According to the statement, the Mr. Robot finale will air in its entirety next Wednesday, September 2 at 10/9c.
On Wednesday morning, WDBJ7 reporter Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27, were shot and killed during a live TV interview.
According to Virginia State Police, alleged gunman, Vester Lee Flanagan, shot himself after leading police on a chase. The 41-year-old former WDBJ7 employee was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries, where he eventually died.
