“We are excited to announce that Kesha will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of Jane the Virgin,” the network told ET in a statement.

The singer will be playing to her strength as Annabelle, a rocker who moves in next door to Jane in the second episode of season two and “isn’t exactly a baby person.”

“We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on Jane!” said showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman in a statement to ET. “We are all huge fans of hers, and we are so excited to welcome her to the Jane the Virgin family.”

Kesha, who served as a judge on ABC's Rising Star last summer, also tweeted her excitement about joining the CW show writing, “Stoked!!!!! I’ll be making a guest starring appearance on @CWJanetheVirgin on @CW!”

Spears will also be joining the show’s second season playing an “exaggerated version of herself” and archnemesis to Rogelio (Jaime Camill).

"It's in the same spirit of when Paulina Rubio came on [to the show in season one]," Urman told ETonline when Spears was cast. "It was still Paulina Rubio, but it was a fictionalized Jane the Virgin version."
